The name says it plainly. Bong for the Bengali table it comes from; Crunch for the sound a fresh packet makes the moment you tear it open. Two words, one promise — the snacks of a Bengali evening, made honestly and sealed at their crispest.
Bong Crunch began in the middle of an evening adda in Kolkata — the packet that gets passed around, torn open, and finished before anyone notices it has gone.
We make the snacks a Bengali household already knows: jhal chanachur with mustard and lemon, tok-jhal-misti that turns sweet then bites, gathiya for the five o'clock kettle. Nine packets, fried in small batches and sealed the same week.
Every pouch carries its pack date and the full ingredient list, because a snack you have eaten all your life should not need a leap of faith.
How we make it
- Small-batch fried — in batches rather than on a continuous line, so the oil is changed often
- Sealed the same week — packed to order, not pulled from a warehouse
- Fully labelled — ingredients, allergens and the pack date printed on every pouch
- FSSAI licensed — green vegetarian mark on all products
